Before anything else, Happy Birthday Alice, my youngest, furthest from home. We’ll get through this and we will see you on your next birthday my darling baby.
A defensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams, a tough guy named Aaron Charles Donald said something rather profound and especially applicable to the times in which we live. He said,
“I always told myself tough times don’t last, tough people do. Keep pushing.”
This guy made himself tough and has become one of the strongest and most feared players in the NFL because he kept pushing and didn’t quit. Evidently he is also one of the nicest and calmest guys off the field, but once in the arena, he takes no prisoners. This is precisely how we have to meet each coming day. In life and in business and against the CoVid19. Be calm around others and relentless in our quest for clean and sanitary and health.
We are in this thing together and it will take each of us to keep pushing. We have to get tough, we MUST get tough for those that depend on us, for those that love us and for those we love.
There is not too much else to talk about now, because until we reach the peak and start bringing this thing down, nothing else much matters. When we get over the hump we will get back to Management and teamwork and espirit de corps, attitude, strength and stamina and setting examples.
Be strong tonight and this weekend my friends. Do what the public health officials say and then…Pray.
Tomorrow, we will look at who said, “These are the times that try men’s souls and why. Come back tomorrow and tonight, Take Heart.
