A second appearance in our pantheon from Johann von Goethe who said,
“We are shaped and fashioned by what we love.”
Take a moment to savor that one. What is it that shapes and fashions you? Is it important? Is it selfish? Is it wrong? What is it in life and at work that you love? Are your thoughts and motivations coming from a place of love or is it coming from avarice or greed or selfishness.
Time Out.
Are you being honest with yourself right now? Only you know. I’m only asking the questions. If you love shortcuts, living a double life, lying to those you love and love you, doing anything to get to the top or listening to the new age stuff about how precious you are and how special you are and that you deserve it and put yourself first and all that nonsense…if you love all that stuff, you will fail or be miserable in your success.
So be sure what you love is worthy of love in the first place. Jesus, your family, your true friends, an honest effort at work, just some examples. Be cautious of those that would derail that. Be careful that you are not the target of those who would hurt you or break your love. Do not let them in. Shape and fashion yourself with love.
Love what is good and true. Love first. Love last. Love honestly. This can be done at home and at work, and be smart enough to discern, now go Make Today a Great Day!
I ” love this post” I felt as though we were sitting together and having a conversation. This message is extremely poignant at this stage in my life! Nicely put Bill, thanks again for releasing that great storage of knowledge you possess. So many can benefit from your words of wisdom, including myself.
