Today’s short thought, the 240 Pop is from Philo Judaceus, a Hellenistic Jew scholar, a fascinating thinker and writer. Highly recommended. He said,
“Be kind, for everyone you meet, is fighting a great battle.”
Give that one some thought. We walk around all day thinking of what challenges we face. We have issues at work and home. Spouses, children, friends, family, co-workers, supervisors and more all provide challenges that distract us from what we are doing at the moment. We think of and rehearse conversations and thoughts and letters and emails in anticipation of our next encounter, the next meeting, the inevitable rebuttals. Sometimes at the expense of the moment. The chance encounter. This is all natural and very often, necessary. It does cloud one thing though, doesn’t it?
Everyone we meet is in their own great battle.
You, might be that encounter that they are preparing for. They may not be on your radar today but you have dominated their thought. That is heavy Dude.
So the 240…Be kind. Be kind, first and always.
We can be direct, the problem solver, the mover and shaker but try not to shake those that come to you for help and guidance. They are already involved in their own great battle. Be an ally. Be kind.
Thanks for taking a moment to think about this. Now it is up to you to get back to it and go back out there and Make the rest of today a GREAT DAY!!
