Have you been here, in Greenland? Just quoting, The Princess Bride. One of my favorite movies and now my seven year old grandson, Jack, quotes it…in context. Very proud 🙂 But back to business, sometimes, when you’re unemployed, it can feel like you’re in Greenland. Alone, cold, no jobs unless you can fish in the North Atlantic. There are still a whole lot of people unemployed in this country. We’ll debate the efficacy of shutting down our entire economy and the entire worlds’ economy for years to come. This virus really did a number on our psyches as well as our wallets and we will be re-building for almost as long as the debate will go on. As of today, we are back down to a. 8.4% unemployment rate. Commendable but a lot of work is left.
There is a choice to make in a few weeks. A choice of two paths. Which road will the economic recovery take. There is a track record for both choices. Of course, there is a track record of both parties. Sometimes they merge and are indistinguishable and sometimes, very different. Your choice may determine the path you are on. Growth or assistance.
No matter what, don’t sit back. Take action. Find the fastest way out of Greenland. Remember that you probably won’t retire at the next place you work, so find a job, get back in the game and keep reading 240. You will find where you want to be if you keep reading and keep doing.
