Do you know who said, “Life is either a great adventure or nothing?” Helen Keller. Have you heard of Helen Keller? You should read about her. A fantastic life. A Broadway play and movie about her life called, The Miracle Worker. Do you know why she can speak to this quote? She was born blind and deaf.

Can you imagine? She was born and alive and experienced no sensory input. Talk about nothing. OK, she could feel, she could taste and smell but then what. You try it for a minute…knowing what you already know. She was an infant and grew up not hearing love or seeing beauty. Couldn’t see her mom & dad’s smile or know a grandmother’s love. The thought is absolutely overwhelming.

So what did she do? Well, I’m not going to spoil the movie for you but she turned nothing, into a great adventure. This is your challenge too. Whether it be family or business. You can go through the motions and nothing, of significance anyway, will happen OR you can embark on a great adventure. You can Make it a Great Adventure! It’s all in your head, your attitude, your heart. You choose. I mean if Helen Keller can choose to make a great adventure, you can’t?!?

Bring your team with you. Teach them how to enjoy. Teach them responsibility and competence and then excellence. Show them how to take their own great adventure and send them on a mission.
