As you read this, where is your head? Are you sitting there bemoaning your circumstances. The boss is too tough. I don’t have enough people. The budget is too tight, too big, too unattainable?

Covey is making the point that it is your decision. You can let circumstances rule your fate or you can decide the “product” you’ll become. You’re the manager. If you are not a business manager, you certainly are the manager of your life and the business manager of you.
