With the end of the World Series last week and another off-season upon us, we shall continue the theme of great thoughts of baseball. Yesterday we mentioned Babe Ruth but since all things baseball begin with Babe Ruth, a quote of his may be appropriate. “The way a team plays as a whole determines its’ success.”
As obvious in baseball as it is in business. You as a manager or employee can have success individually. That is true. But would you argue that your greatest success occurs when your team succeeds also? Each person playing their own position to the best of their ability. And you as the manager making sure that your team has all it needs to excel and perform at the highest level.
So accept your responsibility. You are the leader. It is up to you to determine who needs what. They will need product and training and patience and your calm determined, thoughtful leadership. Babe Ruth nailed another truth in life. The whole team needs to play to be successful.
Look at your players today and figure out what they need to do to help the team. When you know that, put them in the game and make your whole team successful.
Thanks for reading today and now let’s go Make it a GREAT DAY!
