Spoken by T. Boone Pickens, “A plan without action, is not a plan. It’s a speech.” Mr. Pickens recently passed away, (I mean two months ago) but boy he was an original! He was an extremely successful hedge fund manager and corporate raider in the 80s but also an oilman and an advocate for renewable energy. He supported Geo. W. Bush in 2004 and was supported by Al Gore for his stance on renewable energy sources. There has to be something to this guy, something more than money.
So this guy believes a plan is not enough. Action is required. Seems obvious to me. However, some people freeze when the time comes to take action. They suffer “paralysis by analysis.”
Moral of the story. T. Boone Pickens suggests action is essential otherwise you are just speechyfying…that’s not a quote but it seems appropriate. If you need to take action at work, do it, do it now. If you need to take action at home, do it when you get home. No big secrets to life today. Work hard. Go home. Do it. Finish making today a GREAT DAY!!!
