“The things that make me different are the things that make me.” Written by A. A. Milne. The author of all things Winnie. Winnie the Pooh that is. If you haven’t read about Pooh. You should. You really don’t need kids because this sort of wisdom is sprinkled throughout his writings.
How does it apply to you? I knew a smart man and he used to say, “who wants to be normal?” If you have worked with me, you can see I bought into his line of thinking. You don’t have to be strange to not be normal. You have to be you. How often do we speak of this. You be you. Then you don’t have to remember how to act.
Yes, we all have roles to play and yes there are appropriate behaviors in certain circumstances. But your people need to know who you are. You need to be consistent in what makes you, you. Uphold your position and the proprieties but always be you. If you want normal that’s up to you but I will embrace what makes me different, because that is me.
Now get out there and Make it a Great Day!!!
