This week we are big on winning and particularly from the perspective of football coaches. Joe Gibbs coached the Washington Redskins to a couple of Super Bowls and then went on to be a successsful owner in NASCAR. He said the following,
Failures are expected by losers, ignored by winners.”
What we are talking about are your expectations. Failures are a part of life and business but do you go into a project to even go to work each day expecting to fail? You don’t. If you read this blog, I know you don’t. Failures happen and we must learn from them. But’s that’s all. Then they are over. Joe Gibbs says they are to be ignored. I believe because every new day, every new project must be, in your mind, a clear expectation of winning, of success. Winners expect to win. Losers are thinking of excuses in the midst of completing their work.
Today is simple. Expect to win. Prepare. Do everything in your power in advance and then Do IT!
Now let’s Make it a GREAT DAY!!!
