It is football coach week so we go back in history to one of the founders of the National Foorball League and lifetime owner and coach of the Chicago Bears, George Halas, who said,

“Nobody who ever gave their best regretted it.”

This man is speaking specifically to those who have failed. If you gave your best and won, you obviously do not regret it. But when you give your best and get beat, that can sting. Sometimes, you are just outplayed. But to do your best in the face of imminent failure, this is a personal victory.

I know someone right now who is facing what some may consider failure. The way this person is handling it is inspiring. When you do your best, there are no regrets. Have you been there? The odds and circumstances conspire against you and it is a hill you cannot climb. SO, do you concede? Hell no! You do your best until the whistle blows and you walk off the field with your head held high. Until you do that, you have not done your best. Until you fail and try again, you have not done your best. You get back up or play the next game. You do your best and then, you will never regret it.

Whatever challenge you face today, do your best! Leave it all on the field. Then do your push-ups and your wind sprints and prepare for the game. That is prepare for tomorrow. Get your rest. Eat well. Prepare.

Now, let’s Make the rest of today a GREAT DAY!!!
