“There is more to life than increasing its’ speed.” Gandhi
Do you know the real problem with going too fast, when we get caught up in the rush? We do not slow down for what is most important. We tend to not listen enough to our employees or our children or spouse. We have to get on to the next thing. We have to achieve or finish or start, we have to do more for more recognition and money and accolades and we lose the personal touch and relationships that are more important, we lose friends that have always been there for us…and the final most bitter thing is we lose the quiet moments to slow down and listen and speak to God. Oh my!, what we miss then.
My suggestion, take two breaks a day to get started. The first at work at about this time. Read 240withbill and think and take a breath and remember that Life is a song worth singing. Then when you get home tonight, take 5 minutes (as a starter) to get in touch with our Maker. Pray or read Scripture or both but get in touch with the Almighty every day. When was the last time? And I mean really in touch not just praying for things to work out for you. Yeah I thought so, we can all do better here.
Preaching is done for the day. Listen. Slow down. You are NOT just here for yourself. You are here, right now, for God, for your family and for your future. Now Make it a GREAT DAY!!! Slowly.
