Let’s start the weekend and the month trying to be nice to someone. Maya Angelou says it more poetically,
“Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.”
She says it so well but we are singing from the same hymnbook. Way back in my Hyatt days, a few of us being rather obtuse would say to each other, “Have a rainbow day.” Yeah we were goofin around but it’s a nice thought though, right?
A couple of weeks ago, a very dear friend of mine and her family were having a bbq in my backyard and it started to rain on a sunny day and one of her boys was immediately expecting a rainbow and was so disappointed when it didn’t appear. Rainbows are funny things but it made me think, maybe I should expect rainbows. Maybe others should expect a rainbow from me!
So who can receive your rainbow? On the job? At home? Can you send a timely rainbow by text or email? How about…YOU be the first to share? Be a rainbow to someone today!
Now it’s time to get back out there and Make it a Rainbow Day!
