There was a timeless Greek philosopher, Epictetus, who was born a slave said the following;

“It’s not what happens to you, but how you react too it that matters.”

Do you think a former slave might know what he is talking about when he says that how you react to what happens to you matters more that what happened?

We have all had bad things happen to us. Some at work, some at home, some we asked for and some we didn’t. So how did you react? Defensively? Reflectively? Reflexively? Or did you handle it head on and face the consequences of your actions or non-actions? You must be honest with yourself here. Consider past reactions and assess yourself. Did your behavior and actions cause it or were you just wronged. Usually we bring it on ourselves. Yes we do. Did you?

Your reaction to the slings and arrows that come our way is what defines us. Will you overcome? Will you change your behavior so that you can withstand correction and become a better person? That is my best hope for you today. Think about your reaction to be better now and in the future, to become who you were meant to be. And while you are doing that be sure to Make the rest of today a GREAT DAY!!!
