It’s a bitter thing to lose a friend no matter what the circumstances. In our business transfers happen. We make a fast friend and life happens, they leave or you. But there goes your friend.
We lose friends through death, can’t do much about that but the other way we lose friends is by the choices we make. For whatever reason we choose not to stay in touch, not to answer an email, not to pick up a call. Heck, maybe they choose too. Here’s the point, Henry van Dyke, an American author and clergyman wrote,
“A friend is what the heart needs all the time.”
If you have made a friendship keep it, nurture it, build it. For your part, don’t let it slip away. Do every thing you can to hold on because losing a friend is a bitter thing.
