We spoke of patience yesterday, specifically about your employees, but it applies to your family and friends and co-workers too. However, we will stick to the discussion involving your team. Patience is a tool in inspiration and performance but taken to an extreme it can be cowardice to not confront and correct. That never works. Your team needs to believe in you and themselves. The noted philosopher Virgil, from the times of the Roman Empire, said the following:

“They are able because they think they are able.”

Because your team believes in you, in your belief in them, they are able. They think they are able because you believe in them. If you have done your job in training and teaching and exhorting, they will be able.

Stay with it. Never tire of doing the right thing. They will be able, because YOU ARE.
