“The point of living and being an optimist, is to be foolish enough to believe the best is yet to come.” Peter Ustinov; Actor, Humorist You have seen this guy in movies but he is not the leading man.
Nonetheless, I really appreciate his take on life. Both my Mom & Dad taught me to be an optimist. Either you can expect things to get better or you can dread what comes next. The most effective managers of people that I have ever known have been those that accept challenges as they come and believe two things; It can always be worse and the best is yet to come. Isn’t that who you would rather follow? Think of the personalities of those in authority around you. There are optimistic leaders and there are those who direct. Again it’s your choice how to develop your management style but ask yourself what style brings out the best in you. If you want your team to feel the same…then ask yourself…do you want a bunch of go-getters who cannot see defeat or people that follow your directions.
Good luck with your choice. I will be optimistic for you!
