Wednesday. Middle of the week. Well, if you’re not in the hotel business. Those of us that spent or spend our time in hotel operations do not know the meaning of the word, weekend. Nonetheless, Wednesday tends to be the day when we think the week will never end. It can be overwhelming.

Yet we have an obligation to our teams or as we have established this week, our orchestra. If we are overwhelmed and that is evident to our team, how does that transfer?

American entrepreneur from the early part of the 20th century, Roger Babson said,

“When we are flat on our backs…there is no way to look but Up!”

So there you have it. If Wednesday has you flat…you must be looking up. That is terrific news. It’s what you make of it and that is what we discuss daily. Look up. Look to the horizon. Look to the future. Be positive and make your plan. Let your orchestra see the awesome leader that you are.
