One of the hardest actions for me to master, or even find the time to perform, was to identify and set aside the time to plan and prepare. I don’t mean prepare a project or presentation. Those are assignments, often with deadlines, that are required or necessary. I am speaking of planning your tomorrow’s or next week’s activities .
Today’s 240 Pop from Louis Pasteur:
“In the fields of observation chance only favors the prepared mind.”
I’ll bet you thought he only invented pasteurization. Evidently, he was a thoughtful and successful man in his own right. His observations prepared him for discovery of vaccines and microbiology. This was paraphrased in the Steven Seagal movie, Under Siege. The villain said that, “Fortune favors the prepared mind.” Pasteur was deep!
My exhortation to you today is to take 10-15 minutes to begin to plan your tomorrow. Start with your health then your family (interchangeable) and move on to 30 minute segments of your business day. You will find that you will accomplish more and have more time for your 10-15 minute planning session. I promise.
Now, finish up and Make the rest of today a GREAT DAY!
