As I begin today’s considerations of the great truths of civilization…wait…WOW!, that doesn’t sound too pretentious does it? Let’s try this, I was thinking about some good stuff and as I look over the six inches of snow that fell on the northwest suburbs of Chicago last night, on April 27th, one week after Easter, I reflected back to Easter Sunday and it’s beauty.
Forgiveness crossed my mind and my need for it. My purpose is never to beat you over the head with a Preacher, but rather to bring some great thoughts to you about what we do and how we do it. My hope is that some will speak to you and how you go about your day and about your life, about how you effect your family and your business and your neighbor.
Some times we tend to go tromping around in big, heavy boots to accomplish the many challenges that face us. Inevitably sometimes we will step on some toes. This happens.
So today’s 240 Pop…
“Forgiveness says you are given another chance to make a new beginning.” This was spoken by Desmond Tutu, Bishop of the Anglican Church.
Whose toes have you stepped on lately? Do you need their forgiveness? Take a moment to consider whom you love or a co-worker or friend who may be in need of forgiving you. Go to them first. Apologize and ask. Do not ruin an apology with an excuse. It’s not necessarily easy, but it is necessary. For them and for you.
Now my hope is that you will consider this and then go out and be bold and
Make Today a GREAT DAY!
